The application is a free and easy to use FTP (File Transfer Protocol) Server.
The Group creation is a very simple task, following the Help File directions step by step. The application comes with a 'default' group already created for the user.
Now the program helps to add a new 'user', or keep the 'default' user that is ready to use.
For this new 'user' (default or created) the application enables to set a name for it and to create a password, by typing in the corresponding text input, or asking the application to create a random password. This created 'user' can be set as a 'Normal user', as 'Administrator', or just as an 'Anonymous account', by means of clicking on the 'Advanced' button.
For the next operations, such as creating paths, etc. the Help File is very comprehensive and clear to understand.
By selecting in the main window the 'Current Connections' tab, the application displays all the logged in users, as well as a list containing the Host computer name, TCP/IP address, user name that is logged in, port being used, and all the operations this user is performing, in real time, for every one of them. Server user can 'Fire' the logged in user if the user actions are not correct.
'Connection Graph' tab will show visually all the Server activity, as a useful tool for determining peak points, lowest activity times, etc.
By selecting the 'Past Connections' tab, the application displays a list of all the users that did connect to the Server since its start. Historical list including TCP/IP addresses, Host name, TCP/IP port, etc.
Below the mentioned upper tabs, other tabs allow the user to find out the files that have been downloaded or uploaded, including the denied download or upload attempts that somebody might have tried for checking the Server security. Also, it is possible to see all the messages that the Administrator has received from the logged in users. At last, the program can also display all the messages and/or commands that users are trying to execute, so the Administrator will know what the users are trying to do and it will help to define what kind of errors external users are making, for troubleshooting and better information.
The application can directly Re-start the Server with a single click, show an event manager log, etc.
